ABOUT THIS RELEASE:

THUNDERCHILD is the latest reinvention of Tom John Hall, a musician from Derby in the middle of the Midlands, UK. A solarpunk concept album set in the not too distant tomorrow, the album follows starcrossed protagonists Panjy and Bo in a story of messages intercepted in deep space, isolation on an abandoned human colony, mycological computation, a miniature AI mascot named Robobo and threads that intertwine to build new visions for the future. Traversing wonky electronica and nostalgic synth pop, THUNDERCHILD is a departure from the guitar laden introspection of Tom's debut (My Big Album). From timpanis to vocoders to actual audio recordings from Mars, nothing has been held back in an effort to build a universe for the record to explore. Drawing guidance from Coheed & Cambria, Kate Bush and XTC, a truly unique pallete has been curated in this immersive tracklist.
